After caring for her childhood dog, Scrappy, who became diabetic and blind, Rianna knew she wanted to work with animals as a career. In spite of his health issues, he always seemed happy and friendly. She saw that given the right care, pets can live a long and happy life, and she wants to be a part of that! She joined the staff of Golden Valley and Greenbrier Animal Hospitals in the spring of 2021. Since then, Rianna has now graduated from Hamline University in 2023 and has a degree in biology and ecology, but plans to further her studies in veterinary medicine.
Rianna loves getting to work with animals and hopes to continue working in the Veterinary industry in the future. She has a special interest in wildlife and previously volunteered at the Wildlife Rehab Center. She has a particular interest in red foxes and has even had the chance to work with them! Working as a Veterinary Assistant is giving her a lot of great experience that she will be able to use in her future career.
She currently has a cat named Ruby who is a great cuddler! She is a coffee fanatic and enjoys trying out different cafés around the cities. Rianna loves exploring the state, especially the beauty of State and National parks.
